Since our company was established in 1968, before the restoration of diplomatic relations between Japan and China on 29 September 1972, Asahi Trading has always played an important role as a bridge for trade between China and Japan. The company has been involved in major national projects such as the construction of China Wuhan Iron\uff06Steel Group Co., Ltd. (hot-rolled and silicon steel sheet plant) in the 1970s, the laying of submarine cable between China and Japan, and Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. during the 1980s. Since the 1980s, it has been a major trading company in joint negotiations with Japan on the export of ordinary steel, and it has been a major trading company in joint negotiations with Japan on the export of stainless steel since the 1990s. It has played the role of lead trading company in joint negotiations. It has also developed local sales activities from its Beijing, Shanghai, and Chongqing offices and, since 1985, has been cooperating in the economic development and infrastructure development of Chongqing, a major center of development in western China. China’s first urban monorail, completed in 2006, is the result of 18 years of work on clean environment projects.<\/p>\n\n\n

We export various steel products from Japanese steel manufacturers, mainly Nippon Steel Corporation and Nisshin Steel Corporation, which are our main customers, to meet the needs of customers throughout China. We are actively engaged in businesses that make the most of this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Chinese automobile industry, which continues to show steady growth, we are involved in the export of raw materials for automotive paints manufactured by Kansai Paint Co. We are doing our utmost to contribute to the expansion of environmentally-friendly paints with high functionality, such as weather resistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, we also promote export transactions of various materials, parts, and chemical raw materials; timely logistics operations; water quality improvement and purification business; and the like and contribute to the societies of both China and Japan through our core business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
